Fairy Tales, Myth & Dream Group

Long before psychology existed, myths and fairy tales gave shape to the deepest questions of human life. They speak in symbols rather than instructions, offering images that often illuminate experiences that ordinary language cannot fully express. Dreams arise from this same symbolic realm, inviting us into a conversation with the unconscious and the deeper currents of the psyche. Together, myths, fairy tales, and dreams provide a rich way of exploring life’s challenges, transitions, relationships, creativity, grief, identity, and calling. Rather than offering simple answers, they help us cultivate imagination, deepen self-understanding, and discover meanings that are uniquely our own.

This group is not about analyzing stories “correctly,” but about entering into dialogue with them—and with one another—in a thoughtful, respectful, and supportive community. Whether you come to reflect on the month’s tale, share a dream, or simply listen, you are welcome. No previous knowledge required!

Circle Community: Into the Deep Forest

Into the Deep Forest is a private space for those who enjoy approaching life through myth, dreams, imagination, and depth psychology -- a place to connect through sharing dreams, artwork, reflections, questions, etc. Whether or not you’re able to attend the monthly live gathering, you’ll be able to join the community and participate as much or as little as you’d like. Some people may come only for the discussions, others may simply enjoy reading along or sharing an occasional dream or piece of creative work.

Contact me about joining "Into the Deep Forest".

This Month’s Gathering: The Goose Girl

Wednesday, August 26th 2026
12:00–1:30 PM Mountain Time

This month we’ll be exploring The Goose Girl, one of the Brothers Grimm’s most haunting and beautiful tales. Beneath its simple story of a princess, a maid, and a stolen identity lies a rich exploration of voice, betrayal, authenticity, and the long journey back to one’s true self.

What happens when we lose our voice—or surrender it to fear, trauma, or the expectations of others? How do we remain faithful to our deepest nature when life seems to strip away our identity? And what inner forces quietly protect the truth, even when we can no longer speak it ourselves?

Together we’ll explore the symbols of the tale through the lens of depth psychology, myth, and dreams, considering how The Goose Girl speaks to the experience of reclaiming one’s authentic self after periods of silence, exile, or self-doubt.

I hope you’ll join us!
